One of the best things you can do is remove temptation from your house, and post-Halloween can be a TEMPTING time for having tons of candy around the house. If you don’t have kids, donate that candy ASAP. If you do, discuss with them a reasonable amount to keep & donate the rest.

This organization is ready to receive your candy donations! they distribute candy on Halloween, Christmas and Easter to troops that are missing the festivities while away from home regardless of where they are stationed.

2. Ronald McDonald House

Not all local chapters take candy donations but many do! contact your local Ronald McDonald House to see if they are accepting donations. Just type into google.com: “Ronald McDonald House near me”

3. Treats for Troops

Soldiers’ Angels Treats for Troops is a Halloween Candy collection program where local businesses accept excess Halloween candy from kids in exchange for goodies. Once collected, businesses ship the candy to Soldiers’ Angels. We will get the collected candy to deployed service members and veterans.

4. Local Food Pantry
